WHAT IS the CHINESE FOR KIDS or YCT COURSE? 

The Youth Chinese Test (YCT) is an international standardised Chinese language learning framework, which is directed at examining non-native primary and secondary school students' ability to apply Chinese language in their studies and daily lives. YCT consists of two independent parts: written test and oral test. The written test is made up of four levels from YCT Level 1 to Level 4.

Course Length: 48 Classes
of 36 Hours in 24 Sessions;
1 Class = 45 mins; buffer time included 
Regular: 12 Weeks, 2 Sessions/Week
Intensive: Weeks, 3 Sessions/Week
Max size of the group: 6
Necessary Level: Absolute Beginner

What is YCT1?

YCT Level 1 gives children who have mastered it a vocabulary of around 80 words. Passed examinees can understand and use very basic Chinese words and sentences and are able to study further Chinese.

What is YCT2?

YCT Level 2 provides the children who have mastered it with a vocabulary of about 150 word. Passed examinees can understand and use basic Chinese words and sentences, capable of very basic communication needs.

1 Class = 60 mins; buffer time included 
Regular: 12 Weeks, 2 Sessions/Week
Intensive: 8 Weeks, 3 Sessions/Week

What is YCT3?

YCT Level 3 gives the children who have mastered it a vocabulary of about 300 words. Passed examinees can produce simple and direct communication of their familiar day-to-day topic and reach the primary merit level of Chinese.

What is YCT4?

YCT Level 4 provides the children who have mastered it with a vocabulary of about 600 words and above. Passed examinees can carry out basic communication tasks of life, study and relevant age activities. They can answer most communication tasks during an interaction with their peers.

of 75 Hours in 38 Sessions;
1 Class = 60 mins; buffer time included
Regular: 19 Weeks, 2 Sessions/Week
Intensive: 13 Weeks, 3 Sessions/Week
YCT5 requires special attention, more time and occasionally 1-on-1 lessons. For this reason, we are kindly asking you to contact us to arrange your sessions.

What is YCT5

The YCT5 standard course is designed for elementary school and middle school students. The YCT5 has 15 lessons covering 170 words and half of the grammar and functional elements of YCT4. Suggested study hours for each lesson are 4~5 hours. Each lesson in both YCT5 consists of key sentences, learning new words, reading text, short speech, activities and exercises, songs and short stories.

Regular: 19 Weeks, Sessions/Week
Intensive: 13 Weeks, 3 Sessions/Week
YCT6 requires special attention, more time and occasionally 1-on-1 lessons. For this reason, we are kindly asking you to contact us to arrange your sessions.

What is YCT6?

The YCT6 standard course is designed for elementary school and middle school students. The YCT6 has 15 lessons covering 190 words and half of the grammar and functional elements of YCT4. Suggested study hours for each lesson are 4~5 hours. Each lesson in and YCT6 consists of key sentences, learning new words, reading text, short speech, activities and exercises, songs and short stories.
